The base board was the first module to be finished.

Functionblocks

• 8 channel mixer for instruments level
• octal driver to decouble triggersignals from led-driver
• 8 x led driver for leds in the faders as trigger indicator
• simple accent-unit of the beloved roland dr110
• accent depth AND accent length for shorter/longer decay accent-envelope

Before soldering it is good advice to test the schematic on a breadboard.

Some talking

I spotted a still unused pin on my atmega8 and decided to use it for emphasizing the output of the audiosum like many drumcomputers do. In lack of electronical competence i had to take a look how professionals do this and used the schematic of the dr110-output section. Works GREAT and gives the whole unit lots more in dynamic.

The faders i used for the 8channel mixer are from a broken equalizer i got for 20 eur on the bay. They are quite high quality, although their behaviour is not linear, they have more valuechanging in the middle than to their borders.
